Hello Friends!
This is my entry for Lulupu Challenge #13 - Lady Stamp-A-Lot!
(Picture heavy post)
I had used the stamp set got as a gift from a very dear Banu as an ICRC25 winner .It is a lovely
stamp set having sentiment, flowers, heart and a music note stamp too.
Using this
stamp set , I had created two cards, one is simple CAS card and the other one is an easel Card with a Drawer and post it notes. The first card,
as you can see is a very simple card , with a layer of textured paper(taken from old wedding card) on it.Then quilled flower petals and rolled a stem and paste them on card.I also cut the artificial pollens and pasted .For the centre of flower, i had used a fringed flower. After completing the flower, i start stamping a cheery stamp from stamp set with red faber castel ink.And after background, take a sentiment stamp "Have a splendid day " and inked it with black ink from Faber Castel and stamped it on the top left corner. To add an extra touch, i used white marker to make a cloud outside the stamped sentiment to make it stand out and taaadaaaaaaaa the card is ready.I hope you will like it....
And here comes, the one, i talked about in my last post..............
The Second card, an Easel card with drawers ....for which i had googled a lot , gone through many tuts . First i wanted to make a 4 - drawer card but since i was planning to make it for my brother and little drawers cant contain manly stuff. They are good for girls' stuff like pins, bands, etc.So dropped the idea of 4drawer and made a 1 drawer, easel card with post-it notes.
The Left most pic shows , how it looked when closed and right one shows how it looks when opened.
I made the easel card and the drawer all using the standard photo paper. Its not so thick nor so thin for this purpose and is a perfect choice. I had used 2 of them to complete the project.
Since the Challenge requires to use Stamping , So i had used stamping to create my own pattern papers.
For the main card, i used an orange slice stamp and stamped it over again and again on a green fluorescent sheet of paper and then highlighted the little slices with a silver and gold centres marked with markers. It really gave a nice effect .Took some rolled roses, combed leaves in different shades of green and prepared the centre panel and on the top most edge, pasted a print out "HAPPY BIRTHDAY" and my front panel of card is ready.
and for down panel of Easel Card, I stamped the music note stamp on Blue fluorescent sheet .Pasted it over photopaper.Pasted a POST-IT NOTES pad in such a way it leaves a little space for me to pen down a wish...."SING A SONG WHILE YOU MOVE ALONG". yes you guessed it right, music is one of my brother's interest. There was a still little space left on which i used my sentiment stamp on photopaper and pasted on the bottom right corner. embellished it with 3D Glitter red outliner from Fevicryl. For Easel to stand out, i used pearls on front side of easel and a row of dots of same outliner .
Now for the drawer. The darwer is made with a photopaper. For its front panel, i left it uncovered and
directly stamped roses over it and even gave a highlight to two of
roses. For pulling the drawer out, i need some thread. From my stash, i
found an old Rakhi, punched two holes and use rakhi in that... What else
can be perfect thing than Rakhi to be used in a gift for a BROTHER
.Here , is a pic
For the panels of wrapper around drawer, i again used green flurosecent sheet. .For side panels of wrappers, i stamped "MY FAVOURITE " sentiment on 2 photopaper one in black ink and another in red ink and pasted them on left and right panel both.On left panel , I completed the sentiment with handwritten BRO with Gold marker and on right with handwritten word FRND with Silver marker, as the one I am gifting this to , is surely my favourite brother and friend tooo. Here are the pics of two panels
I also made a box for packing this card. For that i used an old calendar and embellished it with punched flowers .Flowers had been punched out from cd case cover, coloured writeons and few fluroscent sheets left as trash only. For a gift tag, used an kurta price tag , covered it with fluroscent sheet and then glued coloured writeons in vertical stripes, pasted Happy Birthday sentiment and put sum 3D outliner drops and tag and gift box is also ready. here are the pics of them too.
